Albury Seniors Forum and Facilitated Regional Consultation

National Seniors Australia (NSA) are pleased to invite older people from the Albury–Wodonga and surrounding region to attend a free Senior Forum, followed by a facilitated Regional Consultation exploring what supports or limits a good later life in regional communities.

Morning Senior Forum (open to all, up to 100 people)
9:00am – 11:30am

The forum will provide practical information updates and an opportunity to ask the experts, including:

  • NSA advocacy priorities and current campaigns
  • Tips to save money and make the most of NSA benefits
  • Staying socially connected through branches and groups
  • Navigating Centrelink supports and payments
  • Understanding aged care and support at home
  • Morning tea and networking

Facilitated Regional Consultation Session (limited places, up to 20 people)
11:30am – 1:00pm

Lunch provided from 1:00pm – 2:00pm for those participating in the session. Research will help inform National Seniors Australia policy and recommendations to governments.

This facilitated discussion will explore:

  • Barriers older people face to living a good life in the region
  • What works well locally and supports ageing well
  • How lived experience can inform national advocacy and research
  • Insights will contribute to a National Seniors Australia report for the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.


Who should attend?

  • Older people living in regional, rural or remote areas
  • Community members interested in ageing well locally
  • Those with lived experience of Centrelink, aged care or home support systems.


Cost: Free event.
